A FAQ maintained by occupants of the firewalls mailing list is in
/pub/firewalls/firewalls-FAQ on ftp.tis.com.

There are quite a few other papers on firewalls sitting around, too.  Browse
/pub/firewalls on ftp.tis.com and pub/firewalls on FTP.GreatCircle.COM.
